Oh Ladeeda, what a trial. BG is a snatch. you vent on and when Ruth gets back you vent on with the caps lock on!!
Linda! report that stupid doc to the state. You so do need hospice. It's obvious to even the most ignorant of 'pros'. Give me that sob's number and you will have hospice by the end of the day and I am not kidding. You and Pa are ready, this c**ks**ker is some kind of nazi and totally clueless. I hate to see anyone unjustly treated and his treatment of you and your father is criminal. Screw the 'I'll suck it up and do it' routine. you're going to wind up like me with PTSD. I know you love your Pa and we all have grown to love your Pa but this is unacceptable and the doctor is confused by his illusion of power and needs to have a knot jerked in his tail. (love that Dr Philism) Once again, if you want Hospice, text me his name and number and I will get him to refer to hospice and he will be very happy to do it by the time I am finished with him.
bpry: yes, the old vampires, that's what they do. Again and again. Nik was sitting here with me when your post came up and he said: give her a star. How many times did we see that? He was referring to the times with my mom when she would be like a guest of the queen and then..... oh boy lookout. My mom would get on the phone and talk smack about me and kept doing it until adult protective services showed up. I hate this disease, I hate this disease but what I hate even more are the 'civilians' like Linda's doc and some in the APS who don't have a clue that they are being manipulated big time by a poor old demented person. Look what Mickey Rooney did in front of Congress and they all fell for it. I watched him and thought well, there's some early mid stage dementia and that's what it looks like. arg. The comedy here is that a doctor would argue with me and tell me he's ok. Never again, I will never do this again. I hope the people who were caring for Mickey Rooney are enjoying their freedom!!
Wel,, thanks for letting me work off some steam and Linda keep in mind that I have a lot more steam where that came from so if you want to use some for your hospice issue, just holler at an old steamer!!
Things here are about as stressful as they can get and we are doing our best to not just get in the car and flee. Dreading the sales this weekend but we are still inundated with mom's stuff and !!!!!!! Y'know how Miz ended a post the other day with the Bob Barker, Drew Carey 'spay and neuter your pets' thing? Which I thought was adorable Miz! Well, i think I'm going to become a big proponent for clean out your crap so your children don't have to do it. I just need to come up with a great catchphrase.....
Got Angst? Get a Dumpster, save a life!
Grossed Out? Need to Vent? Just caught mom with enough 'treasures' to fill a stadium!
ladeeda - if ruth has ins , they will pay for 90 days stay in rehab or nursing home then the rest comes out of her pocket , if she has tons of money then she wont be wont be on medcaid . u have to be poor broke to get on medicaid , i worry about you when she comes home behavin like that . my dad was on depakote . it didnt do any good for him . found what works for dad is -sertraline (zoloft ) .. plus i give him something eles when he s on the edge is alprazolam (zannax) . i give that as needed only , i dont want him to get so used to it and then bam im out of option , i give him zannax as needed . so it works out , i did wean him off the sertaline he went back to screamin yelling demanded waa waa awaaa , i thought oh my gosh ! so i put him back on it and now he s quite as a mouse and he feels better . . i dealt with that for 8 mos of yellin screamin and dr at the behavior place put him on it and it helps , im sorry you came out crying , ask the dr about those meds i give pa , it helps my pa , that other depkote , didnt work at all ,
hi jsomebody - good to hear from u and glad spring has finaly arrived for u . ask ur mom for a raise to 200 a month cuz of cost of living . and I LOVE U MOM :-) you all have a good evening , im going to the living room and enjoy what ever is on tv . goodnight u all xoxo
Hey everyone, out of the brand I had coupon for so I got a different dye, still red but with highlights, why not!
Allshegot, he was pervy before he was loopy, and he isn't suffering from a registrable Dementia, slower, dense, but cognizant...
Got my $100 for the month, budgeting it out, whatever... Sunny rainy sunny rainy but the rain said spring not winter finally, so Spring has hit here, all up from Bloosmday on I believe...
Went to see Ruth today, come out crying... What a sad, sad situation. She was trying to get out the door when I came in. Rambling incoherently, no focus. She was determined to go outside, she is in a wheelchair, so I took her outside. It took about 20 minutes of just talking and touching her face before her eyes cleared a little. Then she would cry and ask for her mama. Saying over and over, "I don't know, I don't know". The Depakote has her a little calmer, she doesn't have that crazy angry look in her eyes. Now family is saying they want to bring her home by next Monday. Hopefully the Depakote will be in her system good by then, My major concern is her always wanting to leave. The house is "Ruthproofed" she can not get out, but if she starts fighting trying to get out of the wheelchair, I am going to have my hands full. You know what makes me the saddest here, of course how miserable and unhappy she is, first and foremost, but the family always talking about MONEY. If BG had done what she needed to years ago, she would have her medicaid and medicare all set up... but now because her stupid daughter did not want to be bothered with the paperwork, she will not be left in a place that she will be safe until we can see how this med affects her. Guess if the medicaid thing was alright, she would be left in there until she died.... I have been the brunt of a few "comments" about paying me while she was in the NH. I finally told sil the other day, that first of all, I told them from the beginning that I would go somewhere else until I healed. And second of all if BG had done her job, it would not be costing them personally. And third, they put me up, paid my salary, to make sure they had someone here when she came home. So don't make it sound like you are doing ME a favor.....And all I hear is what it is costing YOU, what about what it cost me... I am 60 yrs old and will have trouble with this damned knee forever..... I got up and walked in the house.... I stayed out of their sight for almost a week. THEY are not doing ME any favors... It is what the law would have told them to do had they chosen to not tend to the medical bills ect. I do not know what I would have done without ya'll these past few months. No, I wasn't in the trenches dealing with the day to day agony of caregiving, but I was in the trenches with a broken knee, pain, being a damned indentured slave here. If I had not been able to read of others problems, their losses, their funny stories, I do not know where I would be or what I would be doing.. I just appreciate each and every one of you... hugs across the miles.
austin - i did call the hospice , and my daughter works for hospices , they both told me that doctor has to call and order for one . :-( so i am shit out of luck . all doctors there in my town sucks ! guess i shall go to the big city . but with gas price 4.29 gal , i think i best just stay home and deal with it . ill be ok honest , i will , thank you for worry about me , i ll be ok . love u guys xoxo
yep . let her freakout , shut the door or just go outside and have a beer or two , wont hurt them any , there is a time for pee poop eat and move him around . yelin screamin freakin out phhht i dealt with it for 8 mos , i turn into deaf ears .
My Mom is the same she treats me like shit at my house and her apartment but at my brother's the other we had a nice visit and at her docs she is a very sweet old lady but one time she screemed at me in front of the nurse. And with all the grandkids she is pretty good except with my grandchildren she can turn on the charm and off so fast it makes your head spin-even growing up I was the one who was not just spanked but beaten and had a trillion chores to do-I just go with it is what it is and take my xanax with me when being around her-but she is nice to me on the phone but when just the two of us are together sparks fly, She also does not tell my sister when she is sick-who lives 20 min away but calls me 4 hrs away to tell me she is sick and not to tell my sister so of course I call my sister right away-I could go on for hrs.-she is 92 her mother was a sweetheart. Take it from me do not try to please her it is not going to happen-it IS behaavioral Try closing the door and letting her scream for a while-others here have found out that if they scream for a while they stop-Linda's PA looses his voice from screeming at times
Does anyone else experience this phenomenom? During home health visits, doctor visits, guests, family visits and outings... my Mom acts with dignity, politness and normal. The very second its just the two of us, she starts screaming. "Get me my blanket!" "Oh... the pain!!!!" "God help me!" "Ohhhhhhhhhhh" I want to get into the wheelchair" "Help me!!!" "I can't stand it!" "I want to sit in the blue chair!!" "Oh, I need to lay down"
I'm jumping around non stop trying to please and shut her up. If I say ENOUGH she shouts for the police, the landlord, my brothers and sisters and for God himself to come help her.
And mental health says... its not behavioral. Its neurological.
Linda call hospice yourself that asshole of a doc just did not want to bother with the paperwork-hospice can be for any sick person -you need help-change docs I did and got a real nice female doc who listened to me and is going to change my meds before I have a stroke-it was so easy to change-should have done it long time ago. You are killing yourself with him-we are all worried about you-you are so good and patient-but this is not fair to you and you know if his mind worked well he would not want this for you.
Re: Cuz's joke (the cat and the toilet). One of my cats, who was called Cocaina because we thought she was a girl, and now is called Toshiba because we realized he is a boy and he just eats Sheba cat food, has a strange love for the bathroom. When I sit on the couch, he never wants to stay on my lap, when I take him he goes away after 2 seconds. But when I go to the bathroom and I sit on the WC, he jumps on my lap and plants his nails in my naked legs (with a lot of masochistic pleasure on my side), then he tries to point his a*ss toward my face and.... (you can imagine what he wants to do) (I know the trick now, and before he does it, I turn his a*ss toward the wall). In the meantime, he continues to plant his claws in my legs. I have to close that door, definitely, but he is faster than I am. Cats are SOBs, SOBs, SOBs. Re: hair color. When I watched the first time "Harry meet Sally" I fell in love with Meg Ryan's hair and I decided to have the same color. I went to the coiffeur and as I am dark brown, it was very very complicated to become blonde with mèches. I spent (at that time) 250 dollars which was A LOT of money and after 2, 3, 4 hair dyeing (I wanted to be exactly like Meg Ryan) my hair turned out orange. So I went back to my normal color. Enough nonsense for tonight.
Hi everyone GSA I am so sorry for the loss of your Mom and glad you were not alone. Sharon welcome here before long you will have the best group of friends we keep each other out of the black hole and vent and bitching and poo talk in not only allowed but required hope you meet our Captain our leader Bobbie she is special.
Jsome, oh my goodness. Does he have dementia? Somtimes they get that way when they other wise wernt. Although the violent porn. Be careful. You are smart to keep a distance. Prayin for ya. Thanks everyone who brought me up when I was down yesterday. Im gonna try to keep my mind busy today and not think about stuff. She seems to be in a better mood today. Hubby was tellin me she shoudnt be in charge of her own pain pills if she is getting up taking them in the night. I don't have that kinda control. I do glance at her pills to make sure she is getting them put in her pill box everyday. She asked me to remind her to take em cause she keeps forgetting. I was doing it a while back but felt like I was getting on her nerves so I stopped and she forgot some again. I told her not to take it pesonally when I ask her and she said she dosnt and to please remind her so now I am. She told me she only tkes about one pain pill a week, showed me her bottle and that's about accurate. She's had the same bottle for about 2 months now so I don't think she is taking to many. Today was the second morning in a row her leg dosnt want to work when she gets up. This morning it was later after she had gotten up and fell back asleep in her chair. She has done this many times at night when I would go in to put her to bed. Not sure what it is. She don't think its neccesary to tell the dr. She thinks its from the stroke and it may be. I hope you all have a good day. Peace for those who are at their most frustrating.
That be fun cuz, hubby would love that! Ain't nothing wrong with fishin for sport. Crappie is the only kind I will eat, only. If its soaked overnight in saltwater to take some of the taste out. I refuse to eat any kind of cat fish, lots of people around here love em.
Schitt!!! Just got back from dropping Mom off at daycare and was informed thet are closing the facility as of August 1st!!! Just wonderful!!! More later!
ASG, your feelings are perfectly normal and they don't make you a bad person. I used to wonder when it would all be over and would feel bad about wondering that. The thing is that when my mom passed the doctor told me it was better and that she had no quality of life. I just did not want to let her go. Please do not feel bad. Your job is hard enough without that.
Jen, I love bright crazy red hair. I died my hair red once at hubby's request and will probably do it again someday. The only problem is it fades so quickly. But bright crazy red would last awhile. And, I am sure you are right that I should just pitch those hot rollers. I am pretty much packing everything and will pitch as I unpack.
Hubby is over at the house now working. He had to go to Wal-Mart first to get some small paint rollers cause he doesn't like how the brush strokes look near the ceiling. He's such a perfectionist. I gotta keep packing this morning and then go to work this afternoon. I work 10:15 to 5 tomorrow and like 11:45 to 5 on Thursday. Time is getting short. Hubby wants to mow the grass here at Mom's house before my family gets here so they won't have that to bitch about.
Hey everyone, Glad Osama is dead, one less thing, it is important, still plenty of hate in the world to go around but this may be the Hydra that doesn't grow back several heads after being decapitated. Most things run in generations, and at some point people just lose the energy and interest to keep fighting. Educate the women, improve health care and make jobs and most extremism dwindles to nada.
As for here, far pants is my grandfather, my father actually was Gay, he died in 1986 of AIDS. The grandfather is my moms dad and his porn was mostly print and of the violent abusive variety. His lack of social skills and being stupid makes little girls appealing I think. if HE IS A CHILD MOLESTER i HAVE NO IDEA, AS HE IS HE IS INAPPROPRIATE TOWARDS ME, SO I CUT OFF ANY PHYSICAL CONTACT AND KEEP MY DISTANCE JUST DOING WHAT I CAN to help out my mom. Sorry caps lock. He is the most stressful draining disgusting thing in my life right now, so that is my focus in my rants on Aging Care...
Hmm Michael Landon...cute, but pretty sure it is them "Lil Gals" in short dresses he likes watching..
I think I'd get new hot rollers miz, anything you gotta ask about that is electric start over! Hope the refurbishing is going OK, give it another coat see if it changes in time. He may not notice it in a month...
I am sorry Pirate you are in pain, I love my mother and if some day, her care is twice as annoying as my grandfather's it will still kill me when she passes. Give yourself time. It is so soon after, you are just raw and hurting, know we are thinking of you and rip and miz and all who lost loved ones...
Hope everyone has a good week where ever they are. Tuesday aging health day...shopping, think I will dye my hair red again...bright crazy red if I can find it...
ALG I have fished Lake Norfolk in MT Home Arkinsaw a couple of times and went to Fla once. Fished in Canada for a week in May for around 10 yrs in a row but that was 40 yrs ago. Maybe we can plan a trip down your way some day and your hubby can show me where the big ones are. One thing though ya have to know. I don't eat fish. I catch and release unless someone wants me to catch some for them. I clean them etc but don't eat them. I know I must be a crazy person but thats just me. I'll take a pbj samich over a fish dinner any day. It's been that way for 62 yrs now and I don't plan on changin for no one. The wife and kids like em but not me
Cuz Hubby drove longhaul coast to coast at first. A few months ago he got a gig from here to flordia and back, gets him home on the weekends. He just drives a reffer trailer. I found the information about winterizing the boat interesting. Hubby just bought one this past winter, got a good deal on afishing boat. You Fish your heart out CUZ you ever been to the lakes here in MO? We are riught between about 3 of em. He likes to fish for crappie. small fish good eatin.
Two gators were sitting at the side of the swamp near the lake. The smaller one turned to the bigger one and said, 'I can't understand how you can be so much bigger than me. We're the same age; we were the same size as kids. I just don't get it.' 'Well,' said the big Croc, 'what have you been eating?' 'Politicians, same as you,' replied the small Croc. 'Hmm. Well, where do you catch them?' 'Down the other side of the swamp near the parking lot by the Capitol.' 'Same here. Hmm. How do you catch them?' 'Well, I crawl up under one of their Lexus cars and wait for one to unlock the car door. Then I jump out, grab them by the leg, shake the shit out of them and eat 'em!' 'Ah!' says the big Crocodile, 'I think I see your problem. You're not getting any real nourishment. See, by the time you finish shaking the shit out of a Politician, there's nothing left but an asshole and a briefcase.
Jam I put the moth balls in the boat ( in a small butter bowl) right out in the open. I put the dryer sheets like in the compartments under the seats, in the rod lockers and where i have the life jackets. It kind of takes care of the musty smell from being covered up all winter. The mice do not like the smell of either one. I have done this for a few years now with no problems. ASG No I haven't ever been on the East Coast. I pulled steel from Gary Ind. to Grand Rapids, MI. I had a 65' strech trailer. Ussually hauled 60' long pieces. The longest thing I ever pulled was a piece of finished steel that was 185' long. Did that for 20 yrs. My last job was hauling sand, gravel, broken concrete etc with a quad axle lead. My gross weight was right around !02,000 pounds. Did that for 12 yrs. Now I am retired and hope to do alot of fishing this summer. Do my own boat time Pirate Glad to hear from ya. That had to be tough but it will get better. I had that with my dad 17yrs ago and my fil around 7 yrs ago. Linda there has to be some kind of help you can get. I hope you find it soon. Everyone else Hugs to ya all Love Cuz

I just appreciate each and every one of you... hugs across the miles.
ill be ok honest , i will , thank you for worry about me , i ll be ok . love u guys xoxo
I'm jumping around non stop trying to please and shut her up. If I say ENOUGH she shouts for the police, the landlord, my brothers and sisters and for God himself to come help her.
And mental health says... its not behavioral. Its neurological.
Shiite!
More later!
where is she ? she hasnt posted in a while . hope shes ok .

you all have a good day ,

miz
Hubby is over at the house now working. He had to go to Wal-Mart first to get some small paint rollers cause he doesn't like how the brush strokes look near the ceiling. He's such a perfectionist. I gotta keep packing this morning and then go to work this afternoon. I work 10:15 to 5 tomorrow and like 11:45 to 5 on Thursday. Time is getting short. Hubby wants to mow the grass here at Mom's house before my family gets here so they won't have that to bitch about.

miz
The smaller one turned to the bigger one and said, 'I
can't understand how you can be so much bigger than me. We're the same age;
we were the same size as kids. I just don't get it.'
'Well,' said the big Croc, 'what have you been eating?'
'Politicians, same as you,' replied the small Croc.
'Hmm. Well, where do you catch them?'
'Down the other side of the swamp near the parking lot by the Capitol.'
'Same here. Hmm. How do you catch them?'
'Well, I crawl up under one of their Lexus cars and
wait for one to unlock the car door. Then I jump out,
grab them by the leg, shake the shit out of them and
eat 'em!'
'Ah!' says the big Crocodile, 'I think I see your problem.
You're not getting any real nourishment. See, by the
time you finish shaking the shit out of a Politician, there's nothing left
but an asshole and a briefcase.
This is simply too much of a time saver not to share it with you.
1. Put both lids of the toilet up.
And add 1/8 cup of pet shampoo to the water in the bowl.
2. Pick up the cat and soothe him while you carry him towards the bathroom.
3. In one smooth movement, put the cat in the toilet and close the lid.
You may need to stand on the lid.
4. The cat will self agitate and make ample suds.
Never mind the noises that come from the toilet, the cat is actually enjoying this.
5. Flush the toilet three or four times.
This provides a 'power-wash' and rinse'.
6. Have someone open the front door of your home.
Be sure that there are no people between the bathroom and the front door.
7. Stand behind the toilet as far as you can, and quickly lift the lid.
8 The cat will rocket out of the toilet, streak through the bathroom,
and run outside where he will dry himself off.
9. Both the commode and the cat will be sparkling clean.
Sincerely, The Dog
Do my own boat time
