Obviously, many of you have walked in my shoes.
I do agree, personality disorder of some kind, which is easy for me to understand…..
the apple did not fall far from his Mom’s tree.
Yes, he has been a bully since our youth in 1960’s.
Dysfunctional family, much parental fighting.
He and I haven’t been able to get along since I found my voice in my mid-40’s.
Please, no worries for me….:)
I took care of a totally handicapped daughter until her death at age 32.
Strong, I am. My daughter made me realize the spiritual side of life.
There is a greater force we will answer to.
I guess, the only thing I wonder about, is why he chooses to keep the fight going.
What kind of person loves misery, turmoil?



Anyway, I certainly realize when she passes, that is when it will stop. No more.
Way too much to get into here, but, Mom still welcomes him into her life and she lives here at home with me.
Guess she thinks his infrequent visits are wonderful.
Yes, I could reinstate the restraining order…..but, she wants to see him. I will simply not be here for his future visits.
It will be my TJ Maxx day…..:)

At least you have the right mindset to deal with him.

Oh, he isn't made miserable by any of this, he enjoys creating havoc and upset for you. He is to be pitied because that is obviously a bad sign.

I really love this forum for things we go through……not just the difficulty of the aging parent.
Care takers see, hear, live what nobody else can imagine.
My siblings “DOUBT” my mother has dementia.
How could they know? They won’t talk to me.
They won’t even let me speak:
Dead relatives are here all the time…don’t you know? They get time off.
Can I serve cake to the guests in her room?
Why are these little children here?
Who lives in the apartment attached to our house? ( No apartment)
Am I pregnant? (I’m 65)
Where am I going away for a week?????
Does my Aunt Betty want a drink? ((Dead)
Did I talk to Dad? ( Died 1997)
