Facility!!! Both my mom and dad were at home, and STILL asked to go home! It isn’t their usual home where they want to go. It might be their childhood home. It might be their spiritual home. Or they just want out of their current situation. Dementia can bring on many extremely difficult issues - wandering, aggression, feces smearing... Things that are much more easily handled in a facility. And it can go on for a decade. It will wear you down, make you resentful and then guilty, make you wonder if you might die before they do. Facility 100% if we had it to do over. My husband and I have resolved to check ourselves into a facility and never put our son through this.
