Ur Gmom has a lot of health problems. How often does her BP drop? Is she on BP medicine. Does it drop after giving her the pill. If so, I would call the doctor, she may need a lower dose.

My Moms dropped after having a good BM. I questioned this and forget what I was told but was told not a problem as long as it came back up.

There can be lots of reasons.
When my Husband badly injured his foot we were in rehab for the first time and they put him on a tall chair and put his foot in a tank of water with stuff added to help debride the wound and his blood pressure dropped to the point that he fainted. Luckily I saw the change in his coloring and got a PT person in and we caught him as he slumped from the chair! They said it was because all of a sudden there was a rush of blood flow to the foot.

Poor circulation anywhere.

If the person has had high blood pressure in the past and has been on medication and they have a change in medical status it is possible they are getting a higher dose of medication than is needed. So over medicating can be a cause.

Another medication or supplement added to what is already being taken can cause a reaction.

This is just a few of some causes.
This should be discussed with the doctor and if you can keep a log as to when this occurs it might help.

For my mom I believe it was because her heart wasn't pumping efficiently any more, but the answer depends on each individual's unique physiology.
