Looks like I was confused about this site. I am not a caregiver. I need help as a disabled, homebound person, trying to remain in my home.

Are you on SSI? Do you have a case worker? If so, that is a start to getting Social Service advice I hope. Hope other suggestions below help you as well.

I recommend you call your Office of Aging for your County. Ask if they can come and evaluated your situation and help with resources to help you stay in your home. My County has Senior bussing to take people to appts and shopping. The busses are wheelchair accessible. Are you on Medicaid for health insurance? If so, ask your caseworker about "in home" services. You maybe able to get an aide a few hours a day. Office if Aging should be able to answer any questions on Medicaid too. Even if you don't have Medicaid now, you can apply for it. They also supply transportation. My Office of Aging and Office of Disabilities have combined. If your County's hasn't, Office of Disabilities is another resource. Start with O of A.

As Haley said, if you are a Vet or spouse was a Vet than there maybe help there. If u or spouse were in the Military during a War, you may be entitled to Aid and Attendance. But I would start with Office of Aging.

There are many options
- if you are a Veteran they have programs
-if you are on an Advantage Medicare program see what they offer to help with
-check local home care agencies even ones an hour away and see what their fees are minimum hours per day you have to hire for. Do they offer discounts for 24 hr care etc. Depending on what you need.
-Look to see if their is a meals on wheels near by
-If your town has a senior center look into activities they have and if they offer transportation for disabled seniors. This gives you the opportunity to be around people during the day if you are able to use the bathroom alone and they usually offer really good lunches.
See if there is a local adult care facility you could go to during the day. Call and ask for fees. This would work if you can manage at night.

All the above depends on your disability and what you can manage on your own.
