My grandma keeps yelling or arguing with my parents and with us kids over the little things and over the most goofiest things like having our phone plugged in.. she’ll call us kids names like b**tards or r**ards and she’ll just be really mean. I have no idea why she acts like this it's so messed up. I even punched the wall one time for getting frustrated. I try to not argue but when it gets really annoying I argue back. I try telling her that we’re not that goofy and that we’re actually good kids, but she’s been doing this for the past few days and I dont know what to do unfortunately, and I need help.

Something must be off with grandma. Either a UTI or some form of dementia starting. I am so sorry you are going through this.

You certainly don’t deserve being mistreated by your grandmother. Speak to your parents and tell them you are concerned about your grandma and that you do not like being treated unfairly.

If grandma has a medical situation she needs help and perhaps doesn’t know what she is doing.

Has grandma always been grumpy or is this new behavior?

Vent here anytime.

Tell your parents to take grandma to the urgent care to be tested for a UTI.
(Urinary tract infection).

Since this is in the past few days, you need to understand she does not realize what she is doing. There is a high incidence of bad behaviors with a UTI.
Also, meds can cause this, or dementia or alzheimers. Get her checked out.

Get a video on your cell phone for her doctor, and please, do not post this on social media. No matter how tempted you might be. Doing so would just make you look really cruel. And please, do not argue with her. Run and hide.

Call a family conference, with ALL present. Then discuss the matter. It shuld be made clear to you at this conference whether the reason Grandmom does this is "meanness" or dementia. If there is dementia, it is not something in her control, but your parents need to be responsible to you to raise you in a home where there is no abusive namecalling. If GrandMom is not able to be in some control over decency then she may need to go into care. You kids are your parent's primary obligation. Wishing you luck. Hope it works.
