I'm not sure what you are asking, but my father had to go to a SNF to be cared for. He couldn't afford the cost so his care had to be covered by Medicaid. He was cared for very well by the staff at the nursing home.

I get from your profile you are the one in need of Medicaid. What were the reasons for being declined. For both "in home" and nursing home care there is a strict criteria. In my state, you are only allowed assets of 2k. Your monthly income cannot go much over 2300. If tge interview was cut short, maybe you have too much money. Or maybe you need more care than "in home" can provide. Meaning you need Longterm care.

I suggest you call Office of Aging to come and evaluate your situation or even Adult Protection Services. Hope this helps.

If you or loved one is coming up on running out of money, and need the financial help, and physically qualify, Absolutely… but there are hoops to jump thru
