I haven’t had any housekeepers since the pandemic started. I’ve been cleaning my house myself since it’s a small ranch. Do they wear a mask? Is it safe to have housekeeper in your house with the pandemic?

I use to use the merry maids. I didn’t have a contract with them, just a as needed basis. They kept charging me more and more for each visit.

I use a similar company. They do wear masks which is the standard. They are cleaning too so best I can hope for.

I have a full time housekeeper now, but in the past I used Merry Maids once weekly or monthly. They were very prompt, bonded and usually could work extra days or hours as needed. They have offices in many areas.

Find someone who has one and ask if they have an extra day.

For me, having someone come 2x a month has made a huge difference in my quality of life as I age.

You might want to consider a company that is located in many areas. I am on about my 6th set of cleaners in 5 years. They might not be absolutely the best but they are honest, accommodating and show up when are supposed to. I had someone come from the company to give me a quote. I also expressed what had displeased me about previous cleaners. I imagine I could pay more and get a better job or vice versa. At this point they know my house and at the last visit pointed out several methods which were very pleasing to see results of. I have them about once a month as it mostly is just my husband and I living here and we clean up alot after ourselves. Mainly it gets my husband to pick up paraphernalia. When family come I have them more often. I don't think I am supposed to name companies here but if you want more information from me you could private message me.

Since you knew how to find this forum, you can join Nextdoor.com and ask your neighbors for a reference. You will get a lot of input. Also, you can contact social services for your county to see if you qualify for some in-home assistance.
