Find Care & Housing
I haven't used hospice for Alzheimer's care, but I did for other dementias. They were a godsend. I can't tell you how much I respect our local hospice and how grateful I am to them. They helped my parents though their long, painful last months with compassion. My parents died when their natural time came, with dignity and without undue pain.

Thank you for your answer, carol. I plan to call the local Hospice to get more info . At least I can see if we qualify, etc.

Yes. Absolutely. Call your local hospice company and ask if they would send an RN out to do an evaluation and to speak with you about their services. Your mom may or may not qualify. This is a good way to meet the nurse ahead of time and be prepared.
