This forum is a "support group" of sorts. This is a good place to ask questions, get advice, or simply vent.
It sounds like you are feeling bad about placing a parent in a nursing home. When all other types of care have been exhausted, very often this is the safest and best solution; especially when your parent needs extensive medical care, is immobile, or is not mentally able to care for themselves properly. The guilt you feel is normal emotion because you are used to doing everything for them and think that it is a "failure" to ask for help.
There are several articles on this site that will help you.
