What are the your favorite songs that lifts you up when you're feeling down?

I'm sure they've changes over the years but music is a great stress reliever even if it for short-lived periods.

This questions is also to discover if there's any songs you know that I've been missing. I'd love to know.

Some that I always seem to go back to are:
John Lennon song's: Imagine, Karma, All you need is love.
Steve Wonder: Higher Ground, Jesus Children of America
June Carter: Wildwood flower
Neil Young: Harvest moon - this one is cozy.

Everyone has to listen to this new one I discovered: by LaBelle and it's called "System"

Other things I listen to as an escape are Pink Floyd songs. especially the Pompeii album, Echoes, Eugene..

Miles Davis - Blue in Green.

Love & Peace.

My all time two favorites to uplift me are ~

Touch of Grey (I will get by) - by Grateful Dead

I'm Still Standing - by Elton John

Both songs are empowering for me - especially the tunes and lyrics - in fact, I think I'll listen to them now!

I don't have "favorite" songs. But there are a few that tug at my heart strings. Sometimes more than other times.
These remind me of my Husband...or I guess you might say the memory of him. Not sure how to put it into words.
This one described how I saw us with his dementia.
John Ledgend All of Me. Some of the lyrics that sum it up:
What's going on in that beautiful mind?
I'm on your magical mystery ride
And I'm so dizzy, don't know what hit me, but I'll be alright.
My head's under water
But I'm breathing fine
You're so crazy and I'm out of my mind
'Cause all of me
Loves all of you
Love your curves and all your edges
All your perfect imperfections
Give your all to me
I'll give my all to you
You're my end and my beginning
Even when I lose, I'm winning
'Cause I give you all of me
And you give me all of you.....

And the other also happens to be John Ledgend but with Meghan Trainor
Like I'm Gonna Lose You....
.......I woke up in tears
With you by my side
A breath of relief
And I realized
No, we're not promised tomorrow
So I'm gonna love you like I'm gonna lose you
I'm goanna hold you like I'm saying goodbye
Wherever we're standing
I won't take you for granted
'Cause we'll never know when, when we'll run out of time.....
the other that does a number on me...but I never hear it on the radio as it is pretty unknown.
Steve Goodman The Dutchman. Well worth a listen. (and as a little experiment if you listen to any of these let me know what you think, particularly the Steve Goodman song, a young talented man that died far to young)
