My son and his wife live with us. His only income is his SSI as he is schizophrenic. He and his wife filed a joint return for the stimulus. Can I still claim him? Normally they do not file as his income is not considered income and we provide over half the support.

Yes, only one person gets dependent credit. You can't claim him too. Maybe next year. But I would talk to a tax preparer to see what you are able to claim for.

Just curious, doesn't wife work.

If he filed a joint tax return and used his own exemption for 2019, you cannot claim him for the same year as a dependent on your tax return.
