Give a Hug
Jan 23, 2012
I work with children once a week, and as a result had to go to a training class about what my obligations were. We were all told that when working with children, we automatically became 'mandatory reporters'. Which meant, if I ever saw signs of abuse it was mandatory for me to report it. My question is, since you work with patients, are you also a mandatory reporter? If you don't know, find out. If you are, then there's your answer.

My Mom is in an assessed living place and she was to get a bath every two days a week. No one reported her severe leg infection until the receptionist asked about how she smelled. My sisters talked to my mom and my mom said she never got a bath, for a month, no one ever saw her infection and now shes in the hospital.
