What do you mean by lazy eye? Does his eye go in a different direction than the other one when he is looking at you? Does the eyelid droop, like a ptosis? Probably warrants a visit to an ophthalmologist or neuroophthalmologist if this really has just happened. Both upper and lower eyelids can begin to droop as we get older, but it happens gradually. One eye may be worse than the other, but if this is stricktly one eye and you just noticed it, then get it checked out. Certain insurance plans will require a referral from his primary care doctor.

Yes, his eye goes in a different direction when looking at me. He went to our optpmetrist and got no results. What could it be?I will try to get him to go to an opthalmologist. since he experiences no discomfort from it he is relucgtant to do anything about it. I will see what I can do to get him diagnosed. thanks.
