I think that Medicare provides for respite care, but I am not positive. Have you talked to anyone at a hospital about this? I found that there is a floor in a hospital near me that is for respite care. My Mother's friend was in there for a few days while her family were away. Mom was in for observance for something else and we heard her friend was a few floors away in respite. I know it has been months since you posted this, but you never know when someone needs this information.
