My mother died two years ago. My father lives alone. He can still drive. He is very lonely and I was wondering if there is a program where he can sign up for activites that he might be interested in.

Check with the United Way, Salvation Army, Interfaith Caring Ministries, even the local churches have 55+ group activities, in your area - they all usually have events, activities, field trips etc. for seniors. :-)

If you look around hard enough you will be able to find something for your dad yo do. Local churches, non-profit organizations, and volunteering opportunities are a great way to start.
Also, take a look at out Elderly Activities and Recreation page for more ideas on what you can do for your dad.
