Mom is incapable of being on her own and needs round the clock care. Where do I find this?
Carol Bradley Bursack, Dec 28, 2010
Over the span of two decades author, columnist and speaker Carol Bradley Bursack cared for a neighbor and six elderly family members. Because of this experience, Bradley Bursack created a portable support group, the book "Minding Our Elders: Caregivers Share Their Personal Stories."
She will probably qualify for Medicaid. This is what Medicaid is for. Please call your local Social Services for help. Your mom will likely need nursing home care which would then be covered under Medicaid, if she financially qualifies, which from you note, sounds probable.Take care,Carol

i picked up my homless 88yrold aunt out of a strange trailer-park w/snow on the ground ,a man's bilfoldw/her s,s,card drivers card.summer house shoes and 1 dirty gown in a garbage bag. 2months pryor to this she was a fairly wealthly woman. several family members knew she was really in need of nursing home care.so instead of any nursing home getting thier hands on my aunt assets they put her on 2 drugs for 2 weeks .took her to the bank and she withdrew23,000.00 on one bank same day she did her ira's stocks the next week dressed her took her to a scummy lawyer and signed every property land all houses and rental properties all gone to 5 family members. my aunt does not have children ,husband .no-one. i have had her since end of january 2011. they burned all of her paperwork clothes like she never exsisted.my first concern when i got to her was health first. she has been dianogistw/dementia .i now have poa conservatorship to be with her .its 24/7 all-day lots of nights.now i am ready to stand up for her rights.i am not in financial way to fight ,no lawyerw/elder rights ,no one really seems shocked by this what is wrong w/people that set back and shake their heads and say thats terrible ,but never move. suck in mississippi w/88 yr old aunt that i am so in love with. my greatest joy a wonderful husband to help when he can where do i start
