Any recommendations on which of these prescription assistance programs is the easiest to work with? My loved one pays more than $65 a month; is Simplefill the way to go? It seems pretty hassle-free.

I've heard of tSimplefill. I'd check with your love one's state Insurance Department (just go to the state's Web site). They have a wealth of information and should be able to guide you, as well as keep you from running into the wrong programs. Every state is different.
Thanks for checking in. Please let us know what you find out.Carol

In NJ, we have Senior Gold and Padd. Each of these is state run and depend on your finances. Seek advice from your state agency to see what is available. There are private ones, but they cost money to participate.

Some pharmacies will assist you unfortunantly mine made things worse I got droped from my husbands union a few weeks after he died and had to hurry up to find another and was having trouble is was expensive but with this one they say I will not be affected by the donut hole but because our pharamisits would not co-operatate I kept getting cancelled untill someone in the insurance company insisted that he talk to her and she told him how to put it in the computer. I have heard that you should choose the one that covers your meds the most -what I did noe of mine was not covered so I had my doc order me a different med in that class of meds.

Personally I have always used RXassist.com and found most of the medications I needed help with on the site. I learned about RXassist when I volunteered with the health department helping the elderly fill out prescription assistance forms several years ago.
