I took my mother into my home 9 months ago. I still work and will need to for 8 more years. I have a person that stays with her in the day while I work and then I take care of her at night. She has dementia. My brother wanted to put her in a rest home but I could not. She had made me promise her years ago that I wouldn't. Sometimes it is worth it and sometimes I wonder. My husband has been a big help but the main care is on me.
