depending on how close you are in distance, I have to call in every day to check on the caregivers to let the know who is really in charge. When we suspected physical and emotional abuse before my dad passed away last year, we installed surveillence devices and caught them. Despite bed alarms and locked doors, my dad slipped out of the house and in the driveway, fell down and crawled for an hour with bloodly legs and arms. The caregiver asleep and told us it was not her fault. The surveillence told us otherwise and we fired her and others. This has all affected my health, high blood pressure and two antidepressants, but I have a clear conscience and no-guilt. It is not pleasant but we have to live with these memories forever. Call your caregivers and get some support from other caregivers, keep yourself healthy and continue to stand up for you loved ones. Thank you for your committment to your parent.
