...Read Moresonyam, I can't believe I actually read those words "my mom won't even speak to me anymore". Finally, I've found someone who maybe is in the same situation I am. I was beginning to think I was from another planet. My mom recently disowned me, we no longer communicate except thru lawyers. She didn't like my or my family's bluntness, among other things, and decided the paid caregiver, who is my age, would make a better daughter,so off to the lawyer she went to make it all legal. It was the nicest thing she ever did. Do I miss her, NO! Do I miss the abuse, NO! Do I pity her, you bet.
I feel like I have a new lease on life with that albatrose removed. Now our family events are the nicest my family and I have ever spent together. No more ugly comments directed to me in a loud voice for all to hear, etc. My kids were getting fed up. The poor dear doesn't have a clue how much we all dislike her. It must be nice to be as perfect as she is.
