My husband, his 3 siblings, and I have been caring for his 93 y/o mother in her condo for 12 hrs/day on a rotating basis for 6 months. We feel that it's time for her to go into a nursing home so that we can claim our lives back (as selfish as that may sound). We're burned out. We know that she can not afford the entire monthly cost of the nursing home that we've chosen, and need to know where to go to receive some financial help.
I am caring for my mother, living at home and the primary ailment is general age-related decline.
