There were times I thought I couldn't do it another day. Honestly, it's a very tough, lonely, journey. I had very little help or support from family. You need to make sure you get some help. You still need to take care of you! If she needs 24/7 care, you have to get some respite care away from the everyday caregiving stress. I did what I set out to do for my Mom. I cared for her till she passed on September 11, 2009. I would do it all over again, if I could.
