MY husband of 29 yrs died in 2005 from cancer and just one yr later my dad also died from cancer. My children and grandkids are all in Oklahoma and my mother lives in Colorado. We travel back and forth between the two places, but, I'm at the point that I've decided to have mom start living with me permanently. I'm currently trying to update my home to provide easy access and mobility for my mom to prevent slips and falls. Being a caregiver for her has been very challenging and frustrating, but, I'm thankful I have had this time to get to know her so much better. I try to look at our time together as a blessing, not a burden.
