I moved to California from Oregon to live with my parents to provide respite care for my Father and caregiving for my Mother who has AD. My life as I know it is "on hold" until further notice. I have made the decision to provide care and that decision has made a significant devastation financially for me.
I am fine just need support from time to time. I am always looking for others in my situation with the ability to empathize. I would like to be an advocate and continuously keep abreast of things going on in the Alzheimers/caregiving world.
I am caring for my mother, Mary Ellen, who is 75 years old, living at home and the primary ailment is alzheimer's / dementia.
