My father has macular degeneration and it appears that he will soon lose almost all of his sight. For personal reasons, I do not want to go live with him. At present, I am unemployed and divorced. He is a very controlling man and everything is "his world". He is 85 yrs old and has always been very independent and physically active. He continues to drive and has stated that the doctor said he could drive. No one can tell him what to do or give him suggestions that he will accept and do.
