...Read MoreIt's getting even worse. Now my mom cannot cut her meat at all and just stares at her food, seeming to have no appetite or desire to eat. Maybe her sense of taste is disappearing. My dad too is having great difficulty cutting his food, and everytime I am with him, he says his piece of chicken (leg) is no good and he can't eat it. Well, I took his plate and my mom's, cut up their chicken, and they ate at least part of it! I am so afraid my mom will stop eating. I am so fed up with their assisted living....I hired them a 24/7 aide well over a year ago, and he refused to cut their meet that day I was there. He has no medical knowledge, particularly knowledge about dementia. I am at my wit's end.
