My mother passed away from lung cancer, congestive heart failure ( and had atrial fibrillation) , and emphysema a year and a half ago. She was on oxygen during the last months of her life constantly, and I remember the oxygen got right up there, around the 3 or 4 mark on the machine. I remember that she was burping a lot too during her last couple months. She used to say she didn't know why she was burping so much. I would say that if I were you I would discuss all her current issues at length with her doctors and nurses ( whomever has been involved in her care)---and also with any family members who are involved and responsible for her care. My prayers are with you; I know this is a difficult time.
