You are truly an inspiration. I take care of my mom with emphysema, etc, She is 82. I am the baby of five. My oldest brother calls maybe once every 2-3 mos, and visits maybe twice a year. My oldest sister said she can only come every other weekend, she has to take care of her house and she works. My next sister is half blind, and takes a bus and a train at least once a week to help me and see Mom, and my other brother lives close and helps me when I need someontime to stay with Mom, so I can watch my boys play hockey or go to school functions, shopping etc. I dont mean to go on and on, but I do get angry at the older ones, its like they are avoiding the situation. Our Mom is not going to be around forever, and you would think that they could take time out now while shes still here to see her.
Back to your message, your right its not worth thinking of the negative and being angry. (Its hard when they just go on with their life and mine is turned upside down) In the long run they will be the ones that miss out and feel maybe they should of came more often. Thanks for letting me vent a little. I love my Mom and plan on taking care of her as long as I can. But this is one of the hardest jobs I ever had.
