This is a terrible thing to say but, let it go. I was ENRAGED! And i am " the fighter", in the family. In our case it was , my sister in law who helped herself to a debit card(in our recently deceased sisters name who had been caring for mom), & mom's acct. Our brother, who has a "holier than thou" attitude, knew all about it, which makes him just as bad. Mom was sleeping on a sofa bed in a mud room,while unbeknown to her, she was making weekly payments at a rent to own place for a king size Temperpedic bed. by the way mom has Rhumoitoid arthritis. Sis in law bought exotic pets , they took trips,(mom wasn't invited), paid for auto repairs,insurance for 2 cars ,utility shut offs , i could go on,but you get the idea. ok if thats not enough, they broke into her lock box & took 2500$ , some she was saving so her 70 yr old sister cold come & visit. All told the damages, finanicial that is were aprox. $9000.000, mom gets social security. THATS IT!
My sister and i took this to our brother Charlie,who would confront our other brother daniel. We had documentation from the bank, her signatures , no way out-NONE. By this time mom had come to live with me. So Charlie, talks to dan, he tries to blame it on their daughter (who was with me for the summer?) He stood with his wife
He disowned his own mother,his sisters and brother, and never offered to pay mom back NEVER took responsibility for ANYTHING. He did however have the gall to send flowers for her 80th birthday this past february,
Since i am a (DUMB) good daughter and mom forgets his transgression hes the "baby", i ran around the block 33 times ,then called my sister and shared a witch session with her AFTER calmly writing a lovely thank you note (@my moms request) you see her hands don't work as well as they once did!
