...Read Moremy mom has been in deep depression for a while now. throughout the years she has been through allot my younger sister died when she was 5 and that was about 14 years ago. i think all this started after the fact. she has allot if grief. throughout the years she seen psychiatrist and seeked help threw that. Shes on many prescriptions which i dont know what they are all for. I have a 12 year old brother who is minor handicap. he needs her more than anyone. my sister and i dont know what to do or how to help her. she stays on the couch the majortiy of the day and night. we want to get her help so she can better her life and be there for my brother. he didnt asked to be brought into the world my father and her made that desicion. so they are responsible i feel to make sure he has a happy healthy life to the best of there ability. my father works all the time to support the family and her. he plays both rolls to my brother a father and a mother. im not saying she is not sick becasue over the years she has develope eating disorders, depression and she is a codependent. im writing to ur website in hope to get some information on how to help my mother so she can be the woman that we all know she is and still can be. laying on the couch all day isnt healthy she get weaker by the minute complaining she cant even take her own shower. we need help or any advice so we can help her.
