If not and she is able to pay u from the Estate which is what I am trying to find out myself, u can get paid but u have to get all her receipts of what u spent on her and the hours u put in with her and all her appointments and how much time u were with her. Even dragging out the pills throughout the day. Even if she is annoying, calling out your name and is very demanding or just give a ball park on how many hours u worked with her. Bathed her, washed her hair, went shopping for the house, your help, u might have to hire someone full time. Watch them until u get a good feeling from them, Hide anything that is of value in the house. Just make sure u get someone who loves their job. Bargain if u can't afford her. Some Home Health Aides if done privatly will, either do it for $15.00 an hour but u can depending what u think u can affored bring it down between $7.00 an hour up to $10.00 an hour which u would have to negotiate a price. I had to get it down for my mother's Dialysis three times a week that is if u hire someone privately. If it is with an agent u can try and u hope u will get someone descent. U need to feel them out. The kind of people I look for is if they take anisiation, and u don't need to tell them what to do that much except for the distibution of her pills. I got one from Creigslist. She gives my mother messages, and goes where that person is. She gives my mother baths and washes her hair; doesn laundry if necessary. This is there job. U could also hire a companion but u could just have them for a couple of hours and mold them to the way u want them to be. They do not do what a Home Health Aide does. They could also take them to the doctor which when new I would go to with them myself if I have to. One learns pretty quickly. My mother is not the easiest person in the world. In fact she is extremely demanding but once I got her on Seraquil my life is ten times better.
Anyway, this is the imformation for now. U could contact me or ask again or just put it out there and I will be glad to help again. It is very difficult; I know what u r going through.
