I'd check with the hospital nurtitionist on this, as much depends on the stage of the cancer. It the person wants to eat and can, then whatever they want, plus nutritional supplements (many now are liquid and easily absorbed) may do the trick. Also, there a dietary supplements on the market that I'm sure you are aware of.
You didn't give us much information about the stage, so I'm supposing that you are worn out from trying to do this alone and kind of grasping at straws, like most of us do. I hope you will join the forum and get caregiver support. Meanwhile, I think you'll hear from others here who have had difficulties getting people to eat.
Welcome,Carol
