Give a Hug
My grandmother is unable to care for herself and one of my aunts and one of my uncles have power of attorney. I am extremely concerned because it appears that extremely large sums of money are being withdrawn from her bank account and feel that she is being taken advantage of. Is there anything I can do to make sure that this stops and that her assets (which are not large) are protected? She only receives social security benefits and this money should only be used for her medical bills and living expenses. It is upsetting that one or both of them are pretty much stealing what little money she has.

Personally I would report this activity to an elder lawyer and see what legal action can be taken against them. Having power of attorney does NOT mean that your aunt or uncle can use a person's money without explanation.
