Give a Hug
Jan 6, 2010
My step dad is 78 and is in remission from lung cancer. He cannot walk due to severe arthritis and he has macular degeneration. He is about to be discharged from an assisted living place and my mother would take care of him at home. She is 74. She would not be able to leave him alone and we cannot afford assisted living or a nursing home since they appear to cost $3,000 to $12,000 per month. What are our options? I live out of state.
