I'm made the decision to move my mother with dementia to a nursing home. My siblings are against my decision, but I know it's best for her.

We recently forced my 90-year-old mother to move into assisted living. She had been living alone, but could not take care of her self and even forgot where she lived. Now she is angry and upset about being taken from her home.

Looking for supporting research that it is detrimental to remove a dementia person from their long term residence. Caregivers etc in place.

My mother has been picking at her legs until she creates many sores and gets angry when we tell her not to. She's on 75mg Seroquel so far.

Yes, I think you can care too much when the patient is ready to "rest" or declines a treatment and we try to push them. Respect their wishes

It hurts me to see my father deteriorating before my eyes. I try to remind myself that father is not really with us anymore.
