Find Care & Housing
I wish that I had asked my mother why she divorced my dad and made him fight in court in order to have the right to visit me. After all of these years, my dad who is 89 carries the pain of him just up and leaving him with me when I was around 4. She constantly ran my dad down, but my dad never said anything negative about her. My dad said the main disagreement was over how to raise me. As he put it, she wanted to raise me on a pink pillow, but he wanted to raise me as an all American boy. Also, the news of my mother's death last year was also a very painful experience for my dad. He asked me if she ever said why she divorced him. I wished that I had asked her.
