Medicare is health insurance. The only time they pay for a room and board situation is when you are hospitalized or in rehabilitation for a hospitalization.

As FF said they will pay for some therapies in home for a short amount of time and pretty minimal, maybe 2x weekly 1 hour sessions type thing.

Pcundiff, here is a list of what Medicare will or will not cover. https://www.medicare.gov/coverage/is-your-test-item-or-service-covered

Sorry, Medicare will not pay for Assisted Living nor for a caregiver. Medicaid [which is different from Medicare] will pay for room/board and care in a nursing home [which is different from Assisted Living].

Medicare will pay for certain types of therapies at home for a certain number of weeks.
