My husband has Alzheimer's . I care for him at home, both of use have income from social security. However, I have heard there is help available to the caregiver. Due to Alzheimer's extra expenses incur. Diapers, wipes, supplements, and etc. I don't no where to start. Hiring a person to stay when I grocery shop or other help is very hard on a fixed income. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

Find Care & Housing
First, Medicare will not pay you to be a caregiver. Now, Medicaid might depending if your State has such a program available to pay you, but note it will be minimum wage for a few hours per week. Medicaid might help you with supplies. Call you State Medicaid office.

Check with the local Agency on Aging to see what is available, such as Meals on Wheels.

Also check the Alzheimer's website to see what is available
