Hello everyone, hope all is well. I am trying to find an alarm watch for my father. He is 85, on his own in Brittany France. He's a bit wobbly and falls ocasionally. Luckily there are attentive neighbours. The mobile phone signal is rubbish, however there is excellent WIFI signal. I am stuggling to find an alarm watch/pendant that works on WIFI, or for that matter 4G + WIFI. Any leads very gratefully received.

Here are some I search up, but you will need to confirm whether they are wifi only or wifi+cellular:

Theora Care / SOS Smartwatch – a medical-alert style smartwatch that starts working when turned on, with SOS functionality.

4G Cellular Medical Alert Smart Watch – a rectangular watch with 4G capability and dedicated emergency monitoring.

4G Elderly Bracelet Watch – a bracelet style device with 4G and real-time tracking / alarms.

HandsFree Health Smart Watch for Seniors – a brand that markets to seniors, with safety / health alert features.

Verizon Care Smart Watch – from a major telecom provider; often includes connectivity options.

Apple Watch Series 9 (GPS + Cellular) – a premium smartwatch with a “cellular + WiFi” model; with apps and alerts, it can be used for emergency communication.

Apple Watch Series 9 (GPS) – WiFi only version, useful if the user stays in WiFi range (less ideal for full coverage).

Smart 4G GPS WiFi Tracker Watch – more of a tracker with WiFi/4G, but often includes SOS and alert functions.

Real-world devices & services

Here are a few non-retail examples / brands that are closer to what you asked for:

Connected Caregiver Safety+ – a watch-style medical alert system that supports WiFi-assisted location (“WiFi locate”) and has an SOS button.

LifeStation Sidekick Smart – a wearable alert device that combines GPS and WiFi signals to improve location accuracy indoors.

SOS Smartwatch (Bay Alarm Medical) – this is marketed as a medical alert smartwatch that doesn’t need a smartphone to operate (uses its own connectivity).

Personal Alarm Watch (UK / European market) – includes GPS and works “in the home … no WiFi required” claims (i.e. via its own network)

I think that searching for "WIFI panic buttons" or "WIFI Medic alert buttons" will give you better results than searching for an alarm watch, I was able to get some results that way.
