Insurance co. will not pay for nursing home or any assistance. Wife has bladder cancer and unable to care for him at home.

Call Adult Protective Services. They might be able to help you apply for medicaid so that you can both have the care you need. You can keep your house, but your other assets have to be used to pay for care, and I believe your house will be sold after death to pay for your previous care.
