My wife has Lewy Body Dementia.

I'm not sure what you mean by involuntary sleep. Does she take medication to help her sleep? If not and she's just sleeping long periods, it could be a number of reasons. I would consult with her primary doctor about it. Has she done this for long? It could be depression and in that case an antidepressant might make her feel better.

I'm not familiar with Lewy Body Dementia. My cousin has another kind, but before she went on Cymbatla for depression, she liked to sleep a lot. She would sleep all night and most of the day and resist getting up. Since she went on the Cymbalta, she isn't like that anymore and does well on 8-9 hours per night.

I bet there are people around here who are familiar with Lew Body Dementia and will respond to your post. I'd keep watch for that.
