We really need to know what you consider "crying". Actual tears rolling down his face or his eyes just tearing up or watery.

Allergies are really bad this year. If he is using a phone or a tablet the blue light maybe effecting him, turn it off. If he is using a laptop, we see differently with these. For those who wear glasses, bifocals may not be enough, may need a trifocal. If he wears "readers", those glasses bought OTC, then he may need a different strength. I wear contacts and wear readers. I have problems with my laptop so know I need a different strength of reader.

Other than his eyes being the problem, you need to ask him. If its depressing than maybe he should stop using Facebook. Or, if there is a certain person that upsets him, delete or unfollow.

Facebook is pretty depressing/infuriating most of the times unless you only interact with family and close friends.

More information about your dad would help us to answer your question.

How would a forum of caregivers be able to answer such a question, this being your first post, with no background information, no bio on your profile, and no details about your father, etc.?????

Your best bet is to ask your father why he's always crying when looking at Facebook!

I would ask him that question. I must assume you literally mean "boo hoo" crying, not simply watering of the eyes which can come from computer screen and eye strain.
