I am in my 10th year now with PD. Very little cognitive problems as I self manage with minumum meds. Many others have gotten into problems and ended up in NH. Many are over medicated and not given proper advice. Seems NH prey on the weak .

How can we educate others so they can avoid this terrible dementia trap.

I myself do more public service than feel more confident than when I was younger

It's not overblown. People who have the disease do not comprehend their own cognitive problems. They make excuses, think they are fine and think they are properly caring for themselves. In reality, their delusions make life hell for the people caring for them.
