The question remains for a new seeker of information. The answers, of course, change and need to be updated over time. So I fail to understand why some Karen's get bent when responses to the questions (specifically, in this instance, regarding state or federal payment for in-home caregiving) they deem to be "old" get updated. I mean, if you're that disturbed by it, scroll on.
I am happy to address your question from at least my own perspective, which is the only one I can speak to. But first as regards your calling any/some members of the Forum "Karens"-- do understand that this particular word is almost certainly considered by our admins to be derogatory.
If you are reported the admins may give you a brief time out for a week as a warning.
If you see your name go to "anonymous" with some numbers attached, you will know that has happened. If you return to the site with a more polite manner all will be well, but futher infractions can get you removed from the site. We have seen it happen with some frequency in the past. Just a friendly heads-up.
Now on to your real concern. I actually LOVE updates from our OPs and updates on information, myself. But I and some others sometimes are a bit perplexed by old questions resurfacing for not very good reason: that is to say no new information and no real updates.
My own PERSONAL reason to be a bit perplexed is that it drives down NEW questions, relevant questions, questions that haven't been answered to pages two, three, four, and etc. where members usually don't "go". Then we see our OPs returning to tell us "I posted a question and didn't get a single answer".
Now, as to just scrolling on when there's something we don't like? We are all adults here and can make our own decisions about when to scroll and when not to, and like you, we daily do that. In your own instance you chose to question us rather than scroll. Which is great. The only thing that isn't great is judging and labeling others.
I find this one of the kindest social media pages I have ever seen.
I happen also can agree with you that some information is so VALUABLE (Igloo for instance) that I love to see it resurface for those who may be new and have missed it the first time.
