That's a good question for his doctors - difficulty standing and walking could be physical manifestations of neurological problems like Parkinson's or many other illnesses. How certain are you of his diagnosis?

It sounds as though his baseball memory is better than his balance. Balance can be affected by issues in the inner ear. That happened to my daughter. Her GP said she had psychiatric issues, the next doctor gave her a quick ear test, then told her to close her eyes and walk across the room - and caught her after two steps, just before she fell. Without vision, her balance didn't stand a chance. Perhaps a trip to the doctor?
