Find Care & Housing
Ruanca, a lot depends on your physical health and your memory health.

If you are still mobile and doing a lot of things that you did in the past, there are senior apartments in some area that will charge you rent depending on your income.

If you have a good income and savings, there are Independent Living facilities that can run around $5,000 per month [depends on location the cost]. Usually this rent includes weekly linen service, and weekly housekeeping. Plus a certain number of meals during the day. There are Aides and usually the nurse's office is manned 24 hours a day. The facility provides a bus to go grocery shopping, etc.

If you need help with daily life, then there are Assisted Living. These places can run around $6,000 per month and higher.

Then there are skilled nursing homes, which can run $10,000 per month, or if you are able to qualify for Medicaid [which is different from Medicare], Medicaid will pay for everything :)

If you wish to speak to a professional about what would be best for you, you can call your local agency on aging and ask who they would recommend. You can also see an "Elder Law Attorney" who would give you advice, plus help you with dealing with Medicaid.
