My grandparents live in San Francisco with my sister at the moment. My Aunt forced my sister to leave before my cousin (Aunts daughter) gets married this January. My Aunt told my sister she needs to leave so the house can be renovated for grandparents to live down stairs. My sister just told me she found out that my Aunt is asking my grandparents to take out a loan to renovate the house. My grandpa is becoming forgetful and my sister who currently lives there is being forced to leave. My Grandma cried to my sister today because she will be moving and I honestly feel my Aunt is planning to put them in a facility and sell the house. Please help

Your sister has no obligation to leave if your grandparents want her there. Someone needs to stand up to the aunt, unless she has some authority that hasn't been addressed in your post. I get the feeling there's more going on and that your aunt may have guardianship or is proxy under a DPOA and is being overly aggressive.

Or maybe there or more issues, but it's a puzzle to me why the aunt should be able to be so controlling.

I think we need more information on the aunt's position and source of her power, or authority.

My Aunt is their only daughter now. My Mom died 10 years ago to cancer. As to my knowledge my Aunt does not have any guardianship. My sister had enough of my Aunt harassing her and that's the reason why she is leaving. My Grandma had a stroke 2 years ago and while in rehab my Aunt donated most of my grandparents furniture without permission and kept classic comics and was stating to my sister at the time that they sell for lots of money. Right there I knew something was fishy. But since she is family I didn't know what to do or who to talk to about it.
