Find Care & Housing
Another place to try is movinghelp website. I discovered them when I used uhaul to move a few years ago.

You just put in your zipcode and get a list of local day-labor movers. They also have a minimum number of hours, but it's usually less than 4 hours. All the movers are rated--they used to encourage this by giving a $5 refund if you left a review.

Good Luck!

You might ask the neighbors if their sons need to earn some money. I assume you've exhausted your list of relatives who have appropriate aged sons. Sometimes people at church know of someone who could help.

Look in the Yellow Pages (not so easy now that everything is online) under movers. I once hired two guys to load and unload a UHaul truck for me when I moved (at each end). They would have packed too, but I already had things packed, so all they did was load the truck and then at the other end, two other guys that I hired unloaded. I drove the truck. So that might be an option.

You might know some Boy Scouts, they're always doing good deeds, right?

Hope this helps.

Years ago I had moved from one house to another which was literally just around the corner. I called a moving company that was able to move the items I wanted at a very reasonable price. The workers were licensed and bonded.

If the items are already packed, the moving company will not guarantee the items if they should break..... no different than if one had some buddies moving things and something broke.

I have used movers I found and booked on angieslist. Most have a minimum time (~3 hours), but you might be able to negotiate with a smaller local company.

This site won't provide offers to hire out the job, but the community can provide ideas on how to solve the problem.
