Find Care & Housing
A live-in caregiver can result in that person being exploited. The expectation seems to be they are working 40 hrs and on-call/on duty the rest of the day/night, 24/7. This is unwise, unethical and unrealistic. A single caregiver can burnout if they don't have normal work hours, days off and sick day subs.

You should find at least 2 people (and not live-ins) due to the complexities of them living there (it can become their legal residence) plus employment laws (it makes you an employer even with a written contract) plus liability insurance issues (which you will need to increase to protect yourself).

We aren’t an employer site or an agency. However, I will tell you that a one person live in is a bad situation.

Click on the Finding Care tab on this site.

Is the patient not going to rehab? That's the usual thing after surgery.
